Addendum Part 2

10 days to go, you guys! This Season to be jolly will be extra special since some dear relatives will be coming over to spend the Merry/Happy day with us in Baao town.

Meanwhile, since this Buzzfeed list about why people love lists inspired me to list some items (again -- this better be the last wish list I would make for this festive season), this time for the forever curious/child-at-heart me:

Books:

Christian Lacroix and the Tale of Sleeping Beauty: A Fashion Fairytale by Camilla Morton, illustrated by Christian Lacroix

Christian Lacroix and the Tale of Sleeping Beauty: A Fashion Fairytale by Camilla Morton
Guillermo del Toro Cabinet of Curiosities: My Notebooks, Collections, and Other Obsessions (Hardcover)

Collectible toy set:
Eevee + the 8 Eeeveelutions mini figures by Takaratomy

Takaratomy also has versions in plush doll form (around 7"-9" tall).

Obviously my fave pokemon since forever.

An animal to become my first (ever) pet:

Either a furry cat, whose name will be -- guess it? -- E.V.

or a hedgehog

No name idea yet.
Cole More gift of books:

Chloe: Attitudes by Sarah Mower
Chloe: Attitudes
For its history, n.b. having Karl Lagerfeld and Phoebe Philo among its roster of designers.

The Wes Anderson Collection by Matt Zoller Seitz

For loads of things about the auteurist and his seminal style.

Addendum (25 days 'till Christmas Day)

Just another bunch of things and then some:

  • 2014 Butt Calendar. Perhaps for my gay friends too. Enough said.
Via
  • That or the cheeky calendar starring the Warwick University rowers (segue: rowers are easily my kind of sexy athletes -- alongside in this collective are platform divers). It's for charity -- a cause against homophobic bullying.
Both please!!!

Both please!!!

  • a Canon PowerShot
  • a portable turntable (so hipster, I know!)
1385337423346_Under 100 Gift Guide turntable

  • I really want to take a trip with friends outside Bicol and explore a new place
  • I've always wanted a hedgehog
  • I wish more success to Mr. Kengkoy PH and its endeavors
  • I really, really want to hear news about construction of houses for Yolanda/Haiyan survivors
container home

Maybe the design of what's above is too much, but a city of shipping container house is better than a tent city and seems right on the budget.

What's on your wish list?

Push-Materialism List Holiday 2013

You guys, 66 days 'till Christmas Day!

And so here are the things I lust/covet/desire to have t'is season:

  • Isabel Marant pour H&M items
She had not done any menswear so her first is something special.

Her personal style of louche daywear gives me the feelz since on my current day job that look is what I've been trying to achieve: easy, carefree casual (think: pulled-up fancy sweatshirt + normal yet smart-looking pants).

As I wrote in Fezbook:

Want/NEED those pullovers/long sleeves top. Can't afford yet Isabel Marant's real deal shiz; but her H&M pieces, pwedey na (them will do). :-)

These nice t-shirts are.. nice

Hi, Clement!

in Gold
Php 319.00
or/and in Silver
Php 319.00
And to think that my Venti notebook in Purple is not yet full of "writings" and the thicker one in Red is just lying on my stash of magazines.

  • Cafetiere or Stove Pot Percolator
I need to get rid myself of something instant -- lahat nalang kasi instant.
  • The thing that starts with a D -- sorry, I told this to only a select few of my mötley crüe. Just articulating, as they might read this. Hihi.
  • A snapback or two
e.g. this

so it's matchy-matchy the next time I wear this shirt

Wish List December Holidaze 2012

We all have our wants and needs and what-have-we. In my quite many failed blogs, I used to make wish lists but they do not come true -- heck! And yet I feel like it's obligatory to still make one; I do like list-making.

With 13 days to go till Christmas Day, I have randomly come up with 13 bullets of wants/wishes. Here they are:

1. My to-be-actually-tech-savvy list is here.

The traditional ones:

2. An analog note-taking device would always be appreciated.

3. Books!

  • If you love witty women (like I do platonically). Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) - Mindy Kaling
  • To gain insights from the depths of the heart of the U.S. Vogue. Grace: A Memoir - Grace Coddington (Creative Director, Vogue U.S.)
  • Relive the teenage dreams and be nostalgic, or just be the kids-at-heart that we are with Rookie Yearbook One - Edited by Tavi Gevinson
  • For the fashion fan with an interest in stylish imagery, Vogue: The Editor's eye is a coffee-table book must-have. It's full of fashion history!

If only my ~trust fund~ or what remains in it can foot the books bill. All above are available in leading book stores, i.e. National BookStore.

Other books I won't mind getting:

Phaidon's The Art Book: The New Edition to compliment my newfound interest in art history.

Ivy Style, Alexander McQueen (The Life and The Legacy), Empress pf Fashion: The Life of Diana Vreeland, Stylists, the list goes on..

I know, I know, Nanay Socorro Ramos would be a lovely godmother to have.

4.  Okay.. National BookStore gift certificates.

For my worldly sense and sensibilities: 5. Monocle subscription. Because tt's majhalajay!

6. An H&M store in the Philippines. Please, Mr. Henry Sy or Don Jaime Zobel!

7.Some pieces in Opening Ceremony's Yoko Ono: Fashions for Men are haunting me.

Especially the trousers!

8. This should be more of a goal: find a more meaningful -- and better-paying -- job. My year 1 in insurance-financial services is fast approaching and I'm not 100% sure yet if I'd extend my work.

9. Success for all of my endeavors. For those of my kapamilyas as well.

10. A good watch: one oversized from Swatch, please.

11. Nothing beats getting handwritten letters from friends and family.

12. Looking forward to having some great food and bottles of good/bad alcohol on that special day.

13. Noche Buena groceries for our weaving community nanays.

Hear me out, Santa -- and generous citizens of the world!

My gratitude in advance!
